Helga Josepha Brant, 78, of Hagerstown, passed away, Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.
Born March 4, 1936 in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Xaver and Klara (Eichinger) Graf. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Gerald Edgar Brant and a brother, Adolf Graf.
Mrs. Brant retired as a seamstress for the Ross Garment Company, Hagerstown.
She is survived by a step son, Gerald D. "Jerry" Brant and wife Sue of Williamsport; two step daughters, Sue Nolan of Hancock and Diane Brant of Hagerstown; one brother, Arthur Graf of Germany; three step grandchildren, Tammy Mariotti, Todd Brant, both of Clear Spring and Jennifer Yeakle of Hancock; six step great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 30, 2104 at 10:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Katherine Lippy officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8 P.M.
