Henry Ray Keller

Henry Ray Keller, 80, of Chambersburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born Feb. 14, 1930, in Greencastle, Pa., he was the son of the late Ray G. and Vada (Elliott) Keller.

Mr. Keller was a 1948 graduate of Greencastle High School.

He retired in 1985 as a sales writer in the property disposal office at Letterkenny Army Depot.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, serving with the 1st Armored Division.

He was a member of the BPO Elks 600, Chambersburg; life member and past commander of the Harry Lackhove American Legion, Post 517, Mercersburg, Pa.; the Harry D. Zeigler VFW Post 6319, Greencastle; past master (1984) and instructor of General James Chambers, Lodge 801 F. & A.M., Chambersburg; Harrisburg Consistory of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite; and a lifetime member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Valley Forest 145.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Dolores E. (Minnich) Keller; two sisters, Pearl Stockslager and husband, Frank, of Greencastle, and Linda Snader of Waynesboro, Pa.; a number of loving nieces and nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Randall Reid officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by the Chambersburg VFW Honor Guard.

Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. A Masonic memorial service will be conducted there at 7 p.m. by General James Chambers Lodge 801 F & AM.
