Herbert P. Buddy Adkins, II

Herbert Paul "Buddy" Adkins, 55, of Hagerstown, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at his home.
Born April 14, 1960 in Bluefield, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Herbert Paul Adkins, Sr. and Myrtle Nadine (Sizemore) Adkins.
Buddy was a 1979 graduate of Gaithersburg High School.
He worked as a carpenter.
He was a member of The Good Shepherd Ministries in Hagerstown.
Buddy is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Ruth Marie (Bright) Adkins; three children, Danielle Nichole Bright, Austin Mitchell Adkins, Alisha Nadine Adkins; four siblings, Paula "Gidget" Barhill and husband Tom, Janet Rooney and husband Dick, Tom Adkins, and Rose Getzandanner and husband Ralph.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Randy Adkins.
A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00pm on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Steven S. McCullough officiating. Inurnment will be private.
Friends will be received two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
