Hilda Jane Smith, 89, of Hagerstown, passed away at Doey's House on Sunday, May 2, 2021.
Born on November 29, 1931 in Saxton, PA, Hilda was the daughter of the late David and Emma Rogers. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Martin Smith, Sr.; her daughter, Karen Moore; six brothers; and three sisters.
Hilda graduated from Saxton High School in 1949 and worked for Washington County Hospital as a Unit Clerk for 25 years. She loved gardening and cooking big holiday meals for her family. She was a Christian and attended Washington Square United Methodist Church for a number of years.
Hilda is survived by her son, Charles Martin Smith, Jr.; her grandchildren, Cathleen Moore, Michael Moore, and Christopher Charles Smith; and four great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at Rest Haven Cemetery on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 10:00 AM.
Rest Haven Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
