James William Nicol, Jr., 67, of Greencastle, PA, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown, Md.
Born in Greensburg, Pa on November 20, 1950, he was the son of the late Margaret Lillian (Menzie) and James William Nicol, Sr.
James graduated from Greensburg-Salem High School, class of 1968.
He was a fleet mechanic for First Energy, a Boy Scout, a member of the Hagerstown Model Railroad, and a lifetime member of the Longmeadow Volunteer Fire Company.
James is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Karin M. (Startzman) Nicol; one daughter, Megan Michelle Lyons and husband Peter; two sons, James William Nicol, III and wife Jennifer and Jason Michael and wife Tessa; 12 grandchildren, Sierra, Mikinzie, Connor, Jason, Jr., Luke, James IV, Arianna, Wyatt, Ainsley, Jacob, Alexis, and Matthew; 4 siblings, Daniel Nicol and wife Marie, Sally Widmyer and husband John, Jonathan Nicol and wife Caroline, and Suzy Nicol and husband Michael Large.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on December 18, 2017 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Inc. 1601 Pennsylvania Ave. Hagerstown, MD 21742. Deacon William Narin will be officiating.
The family with be receiving friends from 3-6 pm on Sunday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in James's name to the Longmeadow Fire Company, 19307 Longmeadow Rd. Hagerstown, MD 21742.
