Jane Elizabeth Priest

Jane Elizabeth (Arnsparger) Priest, 95, a life long resident of Hagerstown, passed away Friday, January 17, 2014 at Ravenwood Lutheran Village.
Born July 7, 1918 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles O. and Bessie M. (Lantz) Arnsparger.
She was a 1936 graduate of St. Mary's High School and a graduate of Hagerstown Beauty School. Jane was a beautician for many years and sometimes worked with her sister, Doris.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Jane was a senior citizen volunteer at Coffman Nursing Home Center. She enjoyed dancing and traveling with her late husband.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Russell W. Priest, in 1999. They were married for 57 years. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Doris H. Robertson, in 2013.
Jane is survived by her son, Tyler H. Priest and his wife Sherri of Hagerstown and her son R. Lantz Priest and wife Elaine of Woodbine; many nieces, nephews, granddogs and grandcats.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 20, 2014 at 1:00pm at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel 1601 Pennsylvania Ave, Hagerstown with the Rev. Greg Shook officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. Fellowship and refreshments will be held following the funeral service at the funeral home.
Friends and family will be received one hour prior to the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 712 West Church St., Hagerstown, Maryland 21740 or to the American Diabetes Association, 3120 Timanus Lane, Suite 106, Baltimore, MD 21224.
