Janet Marlene Boyle, 62, of Hagerstown, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born Friday, Oct. 14, 1949, in Meyersdale, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Delbert â??Budâ? Foy and Verna Cleo Stein Twombly of Addison, Pa.
Janet is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Joseph E. Boyle; daughters, Christine Boone and husband, Shane, of Springs, Pa., and their children, Shane Logan and Christopher Boone, and Joanne Boyle of Baltimore, Md.; sister, Linda Darlene Miller of Olmsted Falls, Ohio; brother, Denny Twombly of Addison; sister-in-law, Linda Unger of Waynesboro, Pa.; niece, Heather Stumbaugh and husband, Scott, and their daughter, Madalyn; and many close friends.
She was a clerk at This Olde House Gift Shop for many years.
She enjoyed volunteering at the Hagerstown Aviation Museum and was an avid gardener.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Ronald Faith officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Janetâ??s name to the Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Road, Hagerstown, MD 21740; or to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
