Jean Woodhead Beck, 83, of Hagerstown, passed away, Monday, July 15, 2013 at Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village, Boonsboro.
Born June 6, 1930 in Dundalk, Maryland she was the daughter of the late James, Sr. and Catherine (Faulkanhan) Woodhead.
Mrs. Beck was a mother and homemaker.
She was a member of First Christian Church, Hagerstown and volunteered her time with Hospice of Washington County. She also was a member of Fountainhead Country Club.
She is survived by one son, Gordon Keyes of Newburg, W.Va.; one daughter, Jeanne Beck Perkinson and husband Jeff of Missouri City, Tx.; two stepsons, James Beck and wife Rebecca of McLean, Va. and John Beck of Hagerstown; one sister, Victoria Mushinski of Bradenton, Fla.; ten grandchildren, Aaron, Zach, Erik and Joanna Beck, Gracie, Kaylee and Sydney Perkinson and Cameron, Sarah and Brian Keyes; four great grandchildren, Zoe, Tristan, Kaiden and Stina Beck.
In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her husband, James Keyes, Sr., in 1968 and more recent husband, Robert E. Beck, Sr. in 2011; one son, James Keyes, Jr; one stepson, Robert Beck, Jr. and one brother, James Woodhead.
A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at First Christian Church, 1345 Potomac Ave., Hagerstown with the Rev. Steven L. Johns-Boehme officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to services.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 108 Byte Court, Frederick, MD 21702.
Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown is in charge of the arrangements.
