Jean Louise Snook

Jean Louise Snook, 87, of Hagerstown went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village in Boonsboro.
Born Oct. 20, 1926, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Walter S. and Dolly V. (Shank) Eyler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger L. Snook, who passed away May 11, 1996; one son, Vance A. Snook; and one brother, Vance W. Eyler.
She was a 1944 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
Jean worked at Pangborn, Fairchild and the J. Edward Cochran Insurance Co.
She was a lifetime member of Washington Square United Methodist Church in Hagerstown.
Jean is survived by her three daughters, Karen Wetzel, Brenda Williams and husband, Dave, and Barbie Harrell, all of Hagerstown; two sisters, Doris Horst of Hagerstown and Joyce Carey of Smithsburg; two brothers, Gary Eyler of Louisville, Ky., and Ronald Eyler of Hagerstown; six grandsons, Thomas Wetzel, Daryl Wetzel, Jordan Fazenbaker, Craig Fazenbaker, Brandon Harrell and Travis Harrell; five great-grandsons, Caiden Wetzel, Belyn Wetzel, Jacob Fazenbaker, Connor Fazenbaker and Wyatt Fazenbaker; and two stepgreat-grandsons, Ryan Wood and Logan Dimarzio.
Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Jerry Lowans officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday two hours before the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jeans name to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown MD 21742; or Washington Square United Methodist Church, 538 Washington Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
