Jody Dwayne Joe Ruppenthal

Jody Dwayne "Joe" Ruppenthal, Sr., 46, of Hagerstown, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020 at his home.
Born April 14, 1973 in Charles Town, WV., he was the son of Roy Miller of Martinsburg and Cathy (Hoffmaster) Nimphius and her husband Kenny of Hedgesville.
He was a manager in the HVAC industry.
Jody was a member of the Smithsburg Rod and Gun Club. He loved hunting, firearms, and riding four wheelers especially on the Hatfield and McCoy riding trails in West Viriginia. He also enjoyed watching westerns. Jody was a dedicated grandfather.
In addition to his parents and step father, he is also survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Sarah J. (Galmiche) Ruppenthal; six children, Celina N. Ruppenthal and husband Nick Bowie, Courtney M. Ruppenthal, Jayden G. Ruppenthal and his mother, Krissy Nguyen, Jody "J.D." Ruppenthal, II and his mother, Katrina Kretzer, Trey A. Moler and wife Kasey and his mother, Beth Moler, Michael Reimel and wife Kayla; three brothers, Justin Ruppenthal and wife Crystal, Shawn Ruppenthal and wife Maryann, and Teddy Ruppenthal; his sister, Kim; five grandchildren, Bishop Bowie, Siyenah Bowie, Elena Ruppenthal, Julian Ruppenthal, Karly Moler, and one grandchild on the way; an aunt Sherry Peck; two uncles Darin Sweeney and John Hoffmaster; his mother-in-law, Jennifer Reimel and her husband Glenn; father-in-law, Raymond Galmiche and wife Karen; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.
Jody was preceded in death by an aunt, Debbie Hammond; his maternal grandmother, Barbara "Hubba" Hoffmaster; and his maternal grandfather, John Hoffmaster.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 PA Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor Milton Morris officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service and again following the service at the funeral home.
