John Clinton Brown, Sr.

John Clinton Brown, Sr., 87, of Hagerstown, Md, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018 at his home.
Born in Waynesboro , Pa on June 5, 1930, he was the son of the late Bertha Virginia (Potter) and Lester Ellsworth Brown. In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his daughter, Aleta Brown-Turner and a step-son, Dennis Seilhamer.
John retired from J and W Mechanical and enjoyed playing pool, throwing horseshoes, and card playing.
John is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Dorothy Lois (Seilhamer) Brown; son John Brown, Jr. and wife Leah of Jacksonville, Fla; son Paul Brown of Maugansville; daughter Tara and husband Irvin Sealock of Falling Waters, WVa; daughter Carol Brown of Hagerstown; son Lester Brown of Jacksonville, Fla; 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, Jan. 5, 2018 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Inc. 1601 Pennsylvania Ave Hagerstown, Md 21742. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's name to Hospice of Washington County 747 Northern Ave. Hagerstown MD 21742.
