John Henry Munday

John Henry Munday, Jr., 63, of Hagerstown, passed away, Friday, August 21, 2015, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.
Born April 26, 1952 in Hagerstown he was the son of Maude I. (Perrott) Munday of Hagerstown and the late, John H. Munday, Sr. In addition to his father he also was preceded in death by a cousin in law, Trudy Mills.
Mr. Munday was a graduate of Hagerstown Junior College and Shepherd College, Shepherdstown, W.Va. He was currently a teacher of chemistry and physics at St. Maria Goretti High School.
He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church; The Civil War Round Table; Conococheague Institute Board of Directors and the Washington County Geological Society.
In addition to his mother he also is survived by four cousins, Howard E. Mills of Taneytown, Md., G. Melvin Mills, Jr. (Linda) of Melbourne, Fla., JoAnn Litten (Doyle) of Hagerstown and John "Sonny' Perrott, Jr. (Barbara) of Clearspring and his friend and colleague, Jim Martin of Hagerstown.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Otterbein United Methodist Church, Hagerstown with the Rev. Stephen D. Robison officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
