John Leroy Reiff

John Leroy Reiff, 68, of Hagerstown, passed away, Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Western Maryland Hospital Center, Hagerstown.
Born March 29, 1948 in Clear Spring, Maryland he was the son of the late, Ruben Kauffman Reiff,Jr. and Julia Elouise (Shaffer) Reiff. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Lynn (Forsythe) Reiff; one son, John L. Reiff, Jr.; one brother, Glenn Reiff and one sister, Linda Miles.
Mr. Reiff retired from Avalon Manor Nursing Home where he had worked in maintenance and previously had worked as a mechanic for Longmeadow Exxon.
He was a member of Evangel Baptist Church, Hagerstown.
Mr. Reiff is survived by two sons, Dan L. Reiff and wife, Denise of Martinsburg, W.Va. and Joseph L. Forsythe of Hagerstown; three brothers, Ruben Reiff, III of Greencastle, Pa., James "Jimmy" Reiff and wife, Teresa of Hancock, Md. and Donald "Donnie" Reiff and wife, Theresa of Waynesboro, Pa.; three sisters, Bonita "Bonnie" Baker of Hagerstown, Alice Baker and husband, Rick of Mercersburg, Pa. and Joyce Clark and husband, Melvin of Rindge, NH; three grandchildren, Kayla Reiff, Brady Reiff and Jacob Forsythe.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Inc., 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Carl Gibbs officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in John's name to Evangel Baptist Church, (Building Fund), 17922 Broadfording Rd., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
