Josephine Janice "Fats" (Foltz) Reese, 67, of Hagerstown, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born July 19, 1942, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Farney Foltz Sr. and Mary Elizabeth (Bowers) Foltz.
Josephine attended South Hagerstown High School.
She retired after 19 years of service as a robotic equipment operator at Corning Glass Works in Greencastle, Pa.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth David Reese Sr.; a daughter, Judith Ann Reese of Hagerstown; a son, Kenneth David Reese Jr. and wife, Millicent, of Mont Alto, Pa.; a son, Robert Eugene Reese, and Cherie Baker of Greencastle, Pa.; a daughter, Michelle Lynn Tarry, and Steven L. Kinley Jr. of Fort Loudon, Pa.; a brother, Ralph Farney Foltz Jr. of Hagerstown; two sisters, Geraldine JoAnn Foltz of Hagerstown and Gloria Jean Wolfenberger of Funkstown; an aunt, Hilda Jane Hose of Hagerstown; and nine grandchildren, Charles Michael, Tess Britney, Donavan Michael, Karessa Sumer, Kirsten Colleen, Zachary David, Tara Amber Marie, Brooke Elizabeth and Logan David.
She was preceded in death by a daughter; and three brothers, Joseph Russell, Robert Lee and Charles William Foltz.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2010, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Linda Reese officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
