Judith Ann (Foster) Barnhart, 75, of Smithsburg, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at her home.
Born December 28, 1940 in Altoona, PA., she was the daughter of the late Charles S. Foster, Sr. and Martha (Hopkins) Foster.
She was a 1958 graduate of North Hagerstown High School.
Judith previously worked for Double Day Printing and the Washington County Hospital.
She was a member of Paramount Brethren In Christ Church in Hagerstown. She enjoyed reading and word puzzles.
Judith is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Ronald D. Barnhart; three sons, Ronald Barnhart and wife Kandi, Donald Barnhart and wife Becky, Charles Barnhart and wife Kristie; a sister, Carol Findley and husband Archie; a sister-in-law, Dot Foster, all of Hagerstown; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her faithful parakeet, Tweety Bird.
In addition to her parents, Judith was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Foster, Jr.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00am on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 PA Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. James R. Stauffer officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-9pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Judith's name to, Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
