Judith Marie Koontz, 69, of Hagerstown, Md, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017.
Judith was born in Hagerstown, on January 4, 1948. She was the daughter of the late Marie Josephine (Lindsay) and Frederick Rueben Knapp, III. In addition to her parents, Judith is also preceded in death by her brother, Frederick Rueben Knapp IV.
Judith attended Evangel Baptist Church in Hagerstown. She owned her own business, JK Accounting Inc., and she was a talented oil painting artist, cake and floral designer. At North Hagerstown High School in 1966, she won the "Most Artistic" award.
Judith is survived by her loving husband, Jack C. Koontz, Jr.; brother John Edwin Knapp and wife Bonnie of York, Pa; sister, Margaret Grace Dibert and husband Gene of Hagerstown; one daughter, Tamra Marie Ondesko and husband William of Conway, SC; Step son Brian W. Koontz and wife Misty; 6 grandchildren Kimberly, Kris, Kraig, Kayla, Skyler and Brianna; and 8 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Inc. 1601 Pennsylvania Ave Hagerstown, MD 21742. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Providing Relief for Autistic Youth 20301 Barbara Dr. Hagerstown MD 21742.
