Kenneth Robert Hartman

Kenneth Robert "Buck" Hartman, 69, of Hagerstown, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Meritus Medical Center after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Born February 15, 1944 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Kenneth N. Hatfield and Anna Helen "Ike" Hartman.
He was employed as a supervisor for 32 years at Super Value previously known as Creasey Company. He was also employed at Morning Star Dairy in Frederick.
Buck was a member of the North American Rod and Gun Club, North American Hunt Club, and the NRA. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge. Buck was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed the outdoors and nature, along with farming.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Nancy Ann (Teeters) Hartman; three daughters, Debbie Slate and husband Bobby of Hagerstown, Shari Hastings and husband Tim of Hagerstown, Julie Schroyer and husband Duane of Greencastle; a half-sister, Anita Snyder of Hagerstown; three grandsons, Robby Slate, Dustin Hastings, Kyle Collins; one granddaughter, Katelyn Hastings; one great granddaughter, Mikayla Slate; and special neighbors and close friends.
A celebration of his life will be conducted at 1:00pm on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor Jeff Ehko officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
Friends will be received on Sunday evening from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
