Kimberly Ann "Kim" Kendall-Shubert, 46, of Hagerstown, lovingly known to her friends as "Kimmie", passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015 at Meritus Medical Center, after a courageous battle with kidney disease.

Born January 19, 1969, in Hagerstown, she was the beloved daughter of Reginald and Lucille (Raines) Kendall, of Waynesboro.

Kimmie was a graduate of Chambersburg High School. She attended Hagerstown Business College, where she majored in phlebotomy.

After college Kimmie worked as a substitute teacher and a lunch assistant for Pangborn Elementary School. She was most recently employed in the deli dept. of Martin's in Hagerstown.

She loved all animals, but had a special place in her heart for her cat, Tiny and her dog, Rocky. All children seemed to gravitate towards Kim's kindness and love. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Madisynn, who kept Kimmie from giving up the fight with kidney disease.

In addition to her parents, she is also survived by her loving husband of 27 years, William Robert Shubert, Jr., whom she married on April 22, 1988; two sons, William R. Shubert, III and his wife, Amanda of Hagerstown, Tyler A. Shubert of Hagerstown; a granddaughter, Madisynn K. Shubert; a sister, Kristine McDonald of Chambersburg; two sister-in-laws, Jeanie Anderson and husband Michael, Misty Pryor; a brother-in-law, Matthew J.
