Larry Dennis Taylor

Larry Dennis Taylor, 63, of Hagerstown, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at his home.
Born July 29, 1952 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Ned Taylor, Sr. and Betty Jane (Palmer) Taylor.
Larry was a 1971 graduate of South Hagerstown High School. He was veteran of the National Guard and the United States Army. He was passionate about the time he served for his country. Larry was a member of the Hagerstown VFW, AmVets, and Eagles Club. He enjoyed the small things in life; his wife's cooking, watching wrestling on TV and cheering on his favorite football team, the Raiders.
Larry worked in the maintenance dept. of the Western Maryland Hospital Center.
He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Deborah Jean (Ehmer) Taylor; two daughters, Amy May Burton and husband Steven, Jessica Taylor; three sons, Mike Ehmer and wife Jessica, Mick Snyder and wife Christina, Andrew Ehmer and wife Trisha; a sister, Betty Ann Barnes; seven brothers, Mike, Paul, Robin, Randy, Howard, Jimmy, and Brian Taylor; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful cat, Lexie.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Lee; a brother, Ned "Rick" Taylor, Jr.; a great-granddaughter, Athena Brianna-Barbara Duncan; his two dogs, BJ and Gizmo; and three cats, Jessie, Lucky, and Casey.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery with military honors.
Friends will be received from 7-9pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Larry's name to Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
