Lela Mae Hutzell

Lela Mae Hutzell, 94, of Hagerstown, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at her home.
Born March 12, 1921 in Hedgesville, WV., she was the daughter of the late Clarence William Leggett and Lela May Lamp.
Lela worked as a homemaker. She loved her family and will be remembered as a wonderful mother.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Charles William Hutzell, Sr., who died in 1979; a son, James Eugene Hutzell; and a daughter, Beverly Ann Munson.
Lela is survived by three sons, Clarence T. Hutzell and companion Bertha Haden, Robert L. Hutzell and wife Sandra, Charles W. Hutzell, all of Hagerstown; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00pm on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Chaplain Dwayne Musgrove officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
The family wishes to give special thanks to her two granddaughters, Teresa Smith and Raven Logson, who helped take great care of her and a very special thanks to Hospice of Washington County.
