Louise Fleming Bare

Louise Fleming Bare, 97, of Hagerstown, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Coffman Nursing Home.

Born October 12, 1917, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Minnie (Morris) Fleming.

She was a 1935 graduate of Hagerstown High School.

Louise had worked as a homemaker.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Hagerstown, where she was a long time choir member. She also was a member of the Ever Ready Sunday School Class, Women's Club, Hospital Auxiliary, and the Hagerstown Bridge Club. Louise enjoyed traveling and playing bridge, dominoes and Mahjong.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Jacob Krieder Bare, who passed away on August 20, 2004; a brother, Morris Fleming and wife Alice; and a sister, Genevieve Reecher and husband Paul.

She is survived by three children, Douglas Bare and wife Karen of Midlothian, VA, Allan Bare of Hagerstown, Christine Rushing and husband Lynn of Hagerstown; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00am on Monday, November 3, 2014 at First Christian Church, 1345 Potomac Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor Dean Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 2-5pm on Sunday at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown and again one hour before the service on Monday at the church.
