Lovesse Viola Snyder

Lovesse Viola Snyder, 90, of Kearneysville, W.Va., formerly of Hagerstown, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at the home of her daughter in Kearneysville.

Born June 1, 1922, in Cearfoss, Md., she was the daughter of the late Fred Henry and Jenny (Gordon) Wishard.

Mrs. Snyder was a homemaker and a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Hagerstown.

She was a graduate of Clear Spring High School and an active volunteer at Washington County Hospital and the League of Women Voters, interested in national political affairs.

She is survived by her daughter, Kay E. Bresee and husband, Jeffrey, of Kearneysville; five grandchildren, Kendra Magner and husband Tony, Kim Schnurr and husband Jeff, Kelli Snyder, Phillip Bresee and wife, Leslie, and Patrick Bresee; eight great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Vickie Snyder; and a special friend, George Miller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur A. Snyder; a son, Philip R. Snyder; a sister, Mildred Holmgren; and two brothers, Donald and Fred Wishard.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Renee Mackey officiating.

Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
