Mae Elizabeth Bowers

Mae Elizabeth Bowers, 94, of Hagerstown, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 holding her husband's hand.
Born October 30, 1927 in Tilghmanton, Md. she was the daughter of the late, David H. and Mamie L. Moats. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Semler; one daughter, Jo Ellen Semler and five siblings, Gardner S. Moats, Guy R. Moats, Milton D. Moats, Viola M. Wyand and Ann C. Talbert.
Mrs. Bowers was a member of Paramount Baptist Church, Hagerstown.
She had worked in food service for the Washington County Board of Education.
Mrs. Bowers is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, David Bowers; three children, Keith Semler, Linda Domer and Kellie Root; six grandchildren, Lorah Brooks, Daniel Nye, Joe Semler, Kate Leydecker, Caleb Root and Jenna Root and four great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Paramount Baptist Church, 13234 Marsh Pike, Hagerstown, MD 21742 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Josh Fields officiating.
Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Paramount Baptist Church, address above.
