Marcelene Neva Harper

Marcelene Neva Harper, 89, of Hagerstown, passed away, Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Golden Living Center, Hagerstown.

Born June 3, 1927 in Martinsburg, W.Va. she was the daughter of the late, Richard Lewis and Olive Estey (DeHaven) Manford. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, William Junior "Bill" Harper; a son, William R. Harper; one brother, Curtis Lee Manford and one sister, Jenia Esta Manford.

Mrs. Harper was a homemaker and a life long member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Grace Sunday School Class, Hagerstown.

She is survived by one brother, James Manford and wife, Alice of Hagerstown; sister in law, Barbara Harper of Harrisburg, Pa.; several nieces and nephews, Mark Harper and wife,Marisa, Brian Harper, James Manford, Jr. and wife, Charolette, Adra Lapole and husband, Jimmy, Lewis Manford and wife, Sherry and Leslie Manford and wife, Wendy.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday one hour prior to services.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Marcelene's name to Grace United Methodist Church, 712 W. Church St., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
