Margaret Hoppert, 88, of Hagerstown, passed away Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Dec. 25, 1921, in Geinsheim, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Katarina (Schneider) Joa.
Mrs. Hoppert was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the German Club, Hagerstown.
She is survived by two daughters, Margit Shetterly and husband, David, of Smithsburg, and Brigitte Arnold and husband, Jack, of Hagerstown; a granddaughter, Iris; a great-granddaughter, Aicha; and one sister, of Germany.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul F. Hoppert; and seven brothers and sisters.
A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Father James Nirappel officiating.
