Martha Jane Roher

April 9, 1926 — October 14, 2010

Martha Jane (Fambrough) Roher, 84, passed away on Oct. 14, 2010. She now joins her husband, Glenn Martin Roher, who passed away in 2006.

Born April 9 ,1926, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Jewel (Underwood) Fambrough.

She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Gadsden, Ala., and the Eastern Star Chapter No. 537 in Ohio, as well as many other organizations. She was greatly loved and admired by many friends from many states, antique dealers, retail managers and telephone operators through the jobs she has held throughout the years. Her many hobbies included her love of cooking, cookbooks and antiques.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving son and daughter-in-law, Robert C. and Judy K. Roher of Virginia Beach, Va.; four grandchildren, Scott Roher, Denice Roher, Gabriel Davis all of Virginia Beach, Va., and Barry and Sonya Roher of Danville, Va.; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Ruby Shoemaker of Birmingham Ala., and Mary Young and Betty Hill both of Calif.; four brothers, Bill Fambrough and wife Inez, Jack Fambrough and wife Nadine, Mack Fambrough and wife Katherine, and Ed Fambrough, all of Alabama; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ann and Catherine; and a brother, Joe.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. David G. Fambrough officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where a memorial service will be conducted by the Hagerstown Chapter No. 89 Order of the Eastern Star at 7:30 p.m
