Martha Mae (Keeney) Thorpe, 77, of Hagerstown, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Coffman Nursing Home.
Born December 27, 1939 in Penncraft, PA.,she was the daughter of the late William LeRoy and Kathryn Olive (Echard) Keeney. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, William Keeney; and three sisters, Eleanor Keeney, Elizabeth Hill, and Marion Keeney.
Martha retired as a travel supervisor for the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, in Bethesda, MD.
She enjoyed reading mysteries and volunteering her time at the School for the Deaf and Paramount Elementary School.
Martha is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, James Ronald Thorpe and her sister, Joan Ritchie of English, IND.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, September 22, 2017 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Inc., 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Robert Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 7-9pm at the funeral home.
