Mary Lou Lorshbaugh

Mary Lou (Fox) Lorshbaugh, 66, of Hagerstown, went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 13, 2012, surrounded by her family and friends. Hospice attended to her at Meritus Medical Center.
Born July 31, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Mary Frances Fox and Samuel Jacob Fox. She attended North Hagerstown High and graduated in 1964. She attended The Good Shepherd Ministries on Longmeadow Road.
Mary Lou worked at L'Aiglon dress factory on Antietam Street, and then went on to be employed at Western Maryland Hospital Center, where she retired after 27 years of service.
She was a member of Redmen Conococheague 84 and Red Feather Council 59.
Mary Lou was an avid softball player starting at age 8 and playing on leagues even in her adult years. She was a bowler for 40 years and bowled on many leagues. She also had a love for taking cruises.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her twin sister, Susan Ann Fox, who died shortly after birth.
Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Ross A. Lorshbaugh; a son, Brian C. Hull of Hedgesville, W.Va.; granddaughter, Brianna Davis of Clear Spring, Md.; a brother, Frank Fox of Lancaster, Pa. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends who enjoyed life with her.
Mary Lou had many friends and enjoyed them by having horseshoe picnics and swim parties.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Bradford Reaves officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Road, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
