Mary Alice (McCullough) Roof, 69, of Hagerstown, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at her home, while surrounded by her loving family.
Born September 12, 1946 in Stockton, CA, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Dolores (Madrid) McCullough.
Mary was a 1964 graduate of North Hagerstown High School. She graduated with a nursing degree from Hagerstown Junior College.
She worked as a registered nurse at the National Institute of Health, Western Maryland Hospital Center and the Washington County Hospital. Mary retired from Shady Grove Adventist Hospital as the appeals coordinator.
Her interests included puzzles, reading, traveling, wine tasting, and animals.
She is survived by two daughters, Tracey Dianne Garner, Erin S. Ebsen; two step sons, Donald Martin Roof, Jr., Rodney Dean Roof; a brother, John Richard McCullough; three grandchildren, Michael Anthony Garner, Jr., Mariya Nicole Garner, Ashley Christine Pendry; two great grandchildren, Liam Randall Garrett Pendry, Amy Alice Gizelle Cruz; a nephew, Kyle A. McCullough; and a niece, Rena J. McCullough.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00am on Thursday, December 24, 2015 in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Inurnment will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Washington County 747 Northern Ave Hagerstown, MD 21742.
