Mary Ruth (McNamee) Forsyth, 91, of Hagerstown, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at her home.
Born November 2, 1927 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late William Harrison and Gladys Irene (Palmer) McNamee. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, William and Gram McNamee.
Mary was a 1947 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
She worked as homemaker.
She enjoyed bowling and horse races.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, John J. Forsyth; a daughter, Tammy Forsyth and her husband Edwin Russell; a son, John J. Forsyth and his wife Joyce; a granddaughter, Alesia Poland; a great-grandson, Brady Poland; several nieces and nephews, including special niece, Vickie Keller; and her close friend, Phyllis Fridinger and her family.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00pm on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
