Mittie (Oliver) Guy, 97, of Hagerstown, passed away on Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, at NMS Healthcare Center.
Born Aug. 14, 1914, in Crewe, Va., she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mittie (Jennings) Oliver.
Mittie was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Royal Guy, who died in 1995.
Mittie is survived by a daughter, Christine Guy of Philadelphia, Pa.; three sons, Mark A Guy of Hagerstown, Lee R. Guy of Baltimore, and Abel J. Guy of Baltimore; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at the Church of God and Saints of Christ, 100 S. Mulberry St., Hagerstown. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at church.
Arrangements are by Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown.
