Nancy Louise Kauffman

Nancy Louise Kauffman, 88, of Hagerstown, Md. passed away, Monday, January 18, 2021 at her home.
Born January 7, 1933 in Hagerstown she was the daughter of the late, Charles Wesley and Mildred Katherine (Overcash) Nowell. In addition to her parents, she also was prededed in death by her husband of 66 years, Ira Paul Kauffman.
In addition to being a wife, mother and homemaker, Mrs. Kauffman had worked as a secretary for the Zion United Church of Christ and retired as an administrative assistant for the CIA.
Mrs. Kauffman was an active member of Zion United Church of Christ, Hagerstown where she was involved with the Youth Fellowship; She was on the council of Jobs Daughters International, Bethel #26, active with the Shawnee Girl Scout Council and the Mason Dixon Council BSA/221, She was active with the PTA and the Halfway Little League, all of Hagerstown.
She is survived by three children, Stephen Kauffman and wife, Georgi of Hagerstown, Chuck Kauffman and wife, Pat of Clear Spring and Angela Harman of Frederick, Md.; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Fr. Steven L. McCarty officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Nancy's name to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742 or to the Handicap Ramp Fund c/o St. Andrews Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 189, Clear Spring, MD 21722
