Nettie Carolyn Light

Nettie Carolyn Light, 91, of Hagerstown passed away, Monday, May 20, 2019 at Coffman Nursing Home after a 5 year courageous battle with Giant Cell Arteritis.

Born January 9, 1928 in Falling Waters, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late, James and Mary (Nese) Mussolino. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Julius Allen Light in 2014 and a sister, Frances L. Greenfield.

Mrs. Light was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith. She was a member of the Morris Frock American Legion Post 42, Ladies Auxiliary, she also was an incredible baker and avid gardener.

Mrs. Light is survived by four children, Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Light of Maugansville, Robert Light of Hagerstown, Cathy Wantz and husband, William of Hagerstown and Kristi Myers and husband, Theodore of Martinsburg, WV; five brothers, Vince Mussolino of Hagerstown, Gary, Sam, Phil and Leo Mussolino, all of Falling Waters; three sisters, Nancy Beatty of Winchester, Va., Mickey Clark of Columbia, SC and Patty Singleton of Martinsburg; six grandchildren, Nicole Wantz, Toby Wantz and wife, Danielle, Zachary Light and wife, Michelle, Joshua Light, Emily Myers and James Myers; two great grandchildren, Adalyn Wantz and Griffin Light.

At the request of the family, services and burial will be private.
