Patricia A Stinson

Patricia A Stinson, 88, died Thursday, August 17, 2017. at Fahrney Keedy Home and Village in Boonsboro, Maryland.

Born April 21, 1929, in Kitzmiller, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John and Georgia (Junkins) Shore. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill John Stinson in 2010; an infant son, Neal Wayne Slayman; two sisters, Ellen Pool Noland and Ruth Paris and one brother, Harold Shore.

Pat lived her life in Hagerstown from the age of 14.

She is survived by a daughter, Joan Bradford of Hagerstown and a son, James Slayman of Hagerstown; granddaughter, Patricia A. Armstead; a grandson, James E. Eichelberger; four great-grandchildren, Mark A. Bryan, Brooke Bryan, James Eichelberger and Alexis Eichelberger and several great- great grandchildren. Pat is also survived by step children, Deborah Stinson Loudon of Herndon, VA., Richard Stinson, of Huachuca City, AZ., Sandi Stinson Trevino, of Sierra Vista, AZ., and John Stinson of Denver, Co. Pat has many grand children and great-grandchildren in the Stinson family.

Pat was one of seven children, her surviving sisters are Christine Hull of Hagerstown, Sylvia Maisack of New Bern, North Carolina and a brother, John L. Shore, of Media, PA. Pat also had many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Pat was a member of John Wesley Methodist Church and of the auxiliary of the American Legion in Funkstown, MD. Post 211. She was a member of Lodge #59 of the Red Feather of the Red Men, Williamsport. MD .

Pats joy was to be with family and friends and to entertain them. She loved her mountains and her time spent vacationing in those mountains.

Family and friends will be welcomed at Rest Haven Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave.,Hagerstown, Maryland on Monday, August 21, 2017 from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Cook officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fahrney Keedy Home and Village, 8507 Mapleville, Rd. Boonsboro, MD 21713 in memory of Patricia A. Stinson to the Resident Benevolent Care Fund.
