Phyllis Elsie "Kitty" Minnick, 84, of Hagerstown, died on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at her home.
Born January 31, 1930 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Franklin and Lillian Grace (Davis) Kelly.
Kitty was a 1948 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
She retired from the C & P Telephone Company in Hagerstown after 34 years of service.
Kitty is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert G. Minnick, who died in 2004; two brothers, Franklin and John Kelly and a sister-in-law, Delores Kelly.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Pamela S. Black and husband James M. of Williamsport; a granddaughter, Nicole D. Wolfe of Williamsport; a grandson, Dustin J. Black of Hagerstown; two great-grandchildren, Calista L. Wolfe and Madelyn P. Wolfe both of Williamsport; a sister-in-law, Doris L. Kelly of Hagerstown; a niece Kristy A. Sacchet of Hagerstown; a nephew, Mike Kelly of Williamsport; various great-nieces and nephews; a sister, Linda Lemen of Hagerstown; and two beloved dogs, Fred and Fletcher.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00am on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Pastor Linda Alessandri officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
Inurnment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made in Kitty's name to the Haven Lutheran Church or to Hospice of Washington County.
