Ralph Leonard â??Hueyâ? Horner Jr., 47, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010 at the Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown.
Born Sept. 23, 1963 in Martinsburg, W.Va., he was the son of Frances Louise (Domer) Largent of Hedgesville, W.Va. and the late Ralph Leonard Horner Sr.
Ralph was employed for 25 years by the Berkeley County Board of Education where he worked as a painter/foreman. He was Protestant by faith, loved hunting, NASCAR, sports and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He was a very loving father and grandfather.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife Angela J. (Mills) Horner; one son, Joseph L. Horner Sr. and wife Betty, of Hagerstown; two daughters, Stephanie D. Horner of Martinsburg and Brandy N. Horner of Inwood, W.Va.; two stepdaughters, Cierra M. Downing and Amanda Jo Johnson, both of Hagerstown; two sisters, Pamela D. Mason of Martinsburg and Joyce A. Clay of Craigsville, W.Va.; two brothers, Kevin E. Horner of Richmond, Va. and Michael S. Largent of Hedgesville; six grandchildren, Taja Everett, Joseph L. Horner Jr., Thomas J. Everett Jr., Ravyn Saville, Zoe Saville, and Wauren Sprecher.
In addition to his father, he also was preceded in death by his stepfather, John C. Largent.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor Ron Faith officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
