Raymond Rummel Snodderly

Raymond Rummel Snodderly, 76, of Hagerstown, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.
Born September 18, 1936, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Walter Croft Snodderly, Sr. and Nellie (Rummel) Snodderly.
Mr. Snodderly was employed by Washington County Hospital where he started in the kitchen, became an escort and retired as a greeter in the emergency room. Previously he had worked as a baker for Sunny Way and Martins Food Stores.
He was a US Army veteran with the 2nd Infantry Division.
He was a member of The Good Shepherd Ministries in Hagerstown.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife Shirley A. (Gray) Snodderly; three children, Tony Snodderly and wife Jackie, Darren Snodderly and Janet Snodderly; a sister, Connie L. Snodderly and a grandson, Matthew R. Snodderly, all of Hagerstown.
In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by his brothers, Walter, Jr., Lionel, Robert and Kenneth Snodderly; and sisters, Elaine Sharer and Wanda Ashbrook.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at The Good Shepherd Ministries, 19763 Longmeadow Rd, Hagerstown, with Rev. Steven McCullough officiating.
Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 7-9 PM at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
