Raymond South Brewer, 92, of Hagerstown, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Ravenwood Lutheran Village.
Born May 25, 1923, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Raymond Earl and Amy Margaret (South) Brewer.
He was a graduate of Boonsboro High School.
Raymond was a veteran of the United States Army, during WWII.
He retired after many years as a draftsman at Fairchild Industries in Hagerstown.
Raymond is survived by many special friends, especially his close friend of over 31 years, Jane Yeakle and her family, Judy Morningstar, Deborah Devore, Ralph Devore and wife Maria, Pamela Devore, Vicki Devore, and all of their children, Christopher, Ryan, Marcia, Steven, Scott, Samantha, Francesca, Ava, Eden, Mariah, Jordan, and Tabitha. He will also be missed by his neighbors, Norman and Gloria Shatzer as well as friends, Jackie and Tracey.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00pm on Wednesday, January 6, 2015 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Entombment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery with military honors.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
