Rebecca Kay Bowers, 66, of Hagerstown, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Meritus Medical Center.
Born September 10, 1948 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles Spencer and Ruth Viola (Cordell) Bowers.
Rebecca was a member of Paramount Brethren In Christ Church.
She retired in September after many years of service as a care provider at Lycher Incorporated.
She is survived by her two special cats, Ripley and Slick Feet; a son, Charles "Chuck" Neikirk; two daughters, Nicole Sisler and husband Floyd Sisler, Jr., Gretchen Barnhart and husband Mike Stouffer; a sister, Patsy Ross and husband Bob Ross; ten grandchildren, Dylan, Caleb, Damian, Butchy, Payton, Chandler, Piper, Claudia, Michael, Jakob; and a great-granddaughter, Caelyn.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00pm on Monday, October 20, 2014 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. James Stauffer officiating. Inurnment will be private. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home
Refreshments and fellowship will available to friends and family at Paramount Brethren In Christ Church, 19106 Longmeadow Rd, Hagerstown, at 4:30pm on Monday, before the visitation at the funeral home.
