Richard Elliot Warren, 77, of State Line, PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016.
Born November 4, 1938 in Shippensburg, PA, he was the son of the late David R. and Elva Pearl (Hammers)Warren.
Richard retired after 32 years as a machinist and fork lift operator for Mack Truck in Hagerstown.
He was an avid golfer and always had a joke to tell.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, David "Bud" Warren; and a half sister, Bernita Horvath.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Phyllis L. (Fitzgerald) Warren; a son, Timothy Warren; two daughters, Tammy Shank and husband Kenneth, Kathy Creek and husband Terry; two brothers, Charles "Pete" Warren, Alan "Kenny" Warren; a sister-in-law, Ellie Stintzcum; four grandchildren, Andrew L. Shank, Daniel M. Warren, Krystle L. Shank, and Emily J. Burns; three great-grandchildren, Rebecca Lynn Warren, Phiona Paige Warren, and Cadien Jayce Patrick Warren; and several close friends he enjoyed working and playing golf with.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave. Friends will be received in Rest Haven Funeral Chapel one hour before the service.
