Richard T. Jackson

Richard "Dick" Travis Jackson, 79, of Hagerstown. passed away, Tuesday, December 7th, 2010 at Ravenwood Nursing Home.
Born August 6, 1931, in Washington, New Jersey he was the son of the late Elwood C. and Ella R. (Dehart) Jackson.
He was a 1950 Graduate of Hagerstown High School, and served as a Cpl. in the U.S. Army.
He retired as a Lab Tech at St. Lawrence Cement on Security rd. where he had worked for over 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Janice A. (Carty) Jackson on 12/26/04.
He is survived by Daughters Brenda L. Johnson and husband Paul of Sharpsburg and Cindy S. Jackson a granddaughter Laura F. Johnson of Sharpsburg and a brother Charles Jackson of Hagerstown.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 10th, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave. Hagerstown, with Dr. Rev. Stephen Robison officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
