Richard Walker Herrington, 60, of Hagerstown, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
Born September 18, 1955 in Huntington, PA, he was the son of the late Evelyn Mae (Royer) and Richard R. Herrington of Hagerstown.
He graduated from North Hagerstown High in 1974. He served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years and was a member of the Morris Frock American Legion Post 42; the Am-Vets Post 10, and the F.O.E. Aerie 694 in Hagerstown.
In addition to his father, Richard is survived by a daughter Heather Herrington Shoop of Gerrardstown WV; two brothers, Douglas B. Herrington of TN and Christopher Herrington of Hagerstown; one sister, Linda Lee Bishop of Ft. Wayne, IN; and two aunts, Barbara Lou Cartce of Hagerstown, Peggy Myers of Rock Hill, PA.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 in Rest Haven Cemetery 1601 Pennsylvania Ave Hagerstown, MD, with Rev. Mark Mooney officiating.
