Rita Marie Marshall Artz, 78, of Hagerstown Md., passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Doey’s House surrounded by her loving family.
Born November 16, 1943, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Violet “Sue” and Joseph E. Roberts Sr.
Rita attended North Hagerstown High School.
She was employed by Hagerstown Housing Authority, United Cerebral Palsy, Quest Diagnostics and Berwick Ribbon Outlet.
Rita enjoyed being surrounded by her friends and family and also loved crafting, going to bingo, family gatherings and family vacations with all her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Warrenfeltz, husband Jeffrey; Patricia Jarvis (former husband Jim Jarvis); Robin Walukonis, husband Albert; Traci Funk, husband Zahn and Jamie Gouff, husband Brian. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brandon Warrenfeltz, wife Shanna; Eric Walukonis, wife Samantha; Kyle Warrenfeltz, wife Jess; Kaitlin Walukonis; Jordan Hatfield, fiancé Emily Henline; Kelsey Jarvis; Morgan Funk; Ashley Bachtell and Camden Funk. Her great grandchildren, Avery and Alena, Ava and Ella, Trace, Avery and Ben and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Roberts Jr. and sisters Josephine Custer, Shirley McNamee and Gloria Bryan.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 P.M.
The family of Rita wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the nurses and staff at Doey's House, also the Meritus Home Health staff.
