Robert Lee Ashbaugh, Sr.

Robert Lee Ashbaugh, Sr., 78, of Ocala, formerly of Hagerstown, passed away, Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the Hospice of Marion County- Legacy House in Ocala.
Born April 14, 1937 in Hagerstown he was the son of the late, Walter W. and Helen Marie (Ashbaugh) Smith. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth L. Smith.
Mr. Ashbaugh retired from the Maintenance Department at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
He was a member of the Hagerstown Church of the Nazarene and the National Street Rod Association.
He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Mae (Sisk) Ashbaugh; one son, Robert L. Ashbaugh, Jr. of Arnold, Md.; one daughter, Tracey Smith and husband, Lloyd of Ocala; one granddaughter, Kayla Smith; two sisters, Mary Martin of Boonsboro and Beverly Kitchen of Ormond Beach, Fla.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Richard Wilson officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 7-9 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hagerstown Church of the Nazarene, 141 N. Edgewood Dr., Hagerstown, MD 21740 or to the Hospice of Marion County- Legacy House, 9505 SW 110th St., Ocala FL 34481.
