Roger W.Becker, 77, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away, Friday, November 6, 2020 at Doey's House, Hagerstown.
Born March 27, 1943 in Allentown, Pa. he was the son of the late, Charles T. R. and Catherine (Geary) Becker.
After graduating from Louis E. Dierruff High School in 1961 he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served from 1964 until 1967.
Mr. Becker retired from Rapid Lube, Hagerstown.
He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Hagerstown.
Among other activities he loved to bowl and was president of the Southside Thursday Senior Bowling League and also bowled on Monday's senior league at Southside.
Mr. Becker is survived by his wife, Sandra L. (Conklin) Becker; a sister, Cynthia Warmkessel and niece, Cheryl Warmkessel of Orefield, Pa.; a brother, Charles "Sonny" Becker of Allentown and a niece Robin Follett and husband, Dave of Emmaus, Pa.; also a nephew, Karl Kendricks of Hagerstown.
Due to the pandemic a graveside service will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Elizabeth Jackson officiating.
Donations may be made in his memory to Washington County Hospice (Doey's house) 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742 or to Otterbein United Methodist Church, 108 E. Franklin St. Hagerstown, MD 21740.
