Ronald Wayne Mumma

Ronald Wayne Mumma, 68, of Hagerstown, previously of Woodbridge, VA., passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at his home.

Born May 7, 1948 in Hagerstown, he was the son of Dorine L. (Haynes) Mumma, of Boonsboro and the late Lewis W. Mumma.

Ronald was a 1966 graduate of North Hagerstown High School and attended Frostburg University.

He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam as an Air Traffic Controller.

Ronald worked for the Federal Government as an Air Traffic Controller for about 10 years and later retired from NOAA.

He attended Evangel Baptist Church.

Ronald enjoyed skiing, roller coaster riding, traveling, playing golf, boating and fishing on the Chesapeake Bay.

In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his son, Aaron Scott Wolfe of Falling Waters, WV.; a brother, Donald B. Mumma and wife Chrys of San Antonio, TX.; and a sister, Linda J. Barnhart and husband Sam of Clear Spring, MD.

He is also preceded in death by a sister, Dr. B. Jean Walker.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Evangel Baptist Church, 17922 Broadfording Rd., Hagerstown, MD with Pastor Ron Faith officiating.

Inurnment will be private in Rest Haven Cemetery.
