Rosalie Lee (Dinterman) Ruth, 86, of Hagerstown, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010, at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.
Born May 3, 1924, in York, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Evelyn Rosetta (Burger) Dinterman.
She retired as a registered nurse and supervisor of Child Health Services at the Washington County Health Department. She also worked at Western Maryland Hospital Center and in the maternity ward at York Hospital.
Rosalie was a member of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Hagerstown; the Oak Ridge Garden Club; Westernaires Square Dance Club; and the Laffin' Dancers Round Dance Club.
She is survived by her loving husband, Philip L. Ruth; a daughter, Carolyn Rosalie Duffey; a son, Charles William Paul Jr. and wife Medea, all of Hagerstown; a brother, William Henry Dinterman Sr. of York, Pa.; four grandchildren, Cathleen Duffey, Tera Keplinger, Kathryn Paul and Erin Reuter; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles W. Paul; and a brother, Ronald Dinterman.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Tim Leighton officiating. Inurnment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received one hour before the service at the funeral home.
