Rosanna Irene Harbaugh

Rosanna Irene (Wilson) Harbaugh, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many, 73, of Hagerstown, surrounded by her loving family passed from this life into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Nov. 24, 2010, at Washington County Hospital.

Born on Sept. 19, 1937 in Hagerstown, Md., Rosanna was the beloved daughter of the late Myrtle Margarette (Lowman) Wilson and William Patrick Wilson.

Rosanna "Rosie" retired from the Washington County Hospital in 2005 after serving 39 faithful years as a nursing assistant.

Rosie served as a volunteer for the Shirley B. Robison Memorial Fund for many years helping to raise funds to "Improve the Quality of Life" for local cancer patients and their families.

She attended Tribe of Judah Word Ministry until she was no longer able to attend services.

Rosie is survived by her children: daughter, Roxanna Deneen of Texas; son, David Deneen of Boonsboro; daughter, Tina Crabtree and husband Stacey of Hagerstown; and daughter, Melina Barnett and husband, Charlie of Berkley Springs W.Va. She is also survived by Vicky and David Yates, two people who cared for her as if she were their own mother. Rosie is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren whom she loved very much. In addition, she is survived by the following siblings: brother, James Wilson, brothers, Joseph and John Harrison, and sister Pat Wilson Myers.

Rosie will be most remembered for her love and compassion to her patients while working at the Washington County Hospital. She was also a very devoted and loving mother and grandmother.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor Donald Kretzer officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
