Ruth Dalphine Ramsey

Ruth Dalphine Ramsey, 87, of Hagerstown, passed away, Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at CJ Senior Living, Hagerstown.

Born September 1, 1928 in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late, Conrad and Madeline (Varner) Henning. In addition to her parents she also was prededed in death by her husband, Walter L. Ramsey; a son, Gary Ramsey, a brother, Norman Henning and a grandson, Christopher M. Shank.

In addition to being a homemaker Mrs. Ramsey had worked in housekeeping at Washington County Hospital.

She is survived by three daughters, Janet McCartney and husband Clarence of Falling Waters. W.Va., Norma Sentz and Lorraine Shank and husband, Roger, all of Smithsburg; one sister, Marcela Higgins and husband, Jack of Longwood, Fla.; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Mike Simane officiating.

Friends will be received on Friday from 7-9 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's name to the Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
