Ruth Evelyn Kimble, 96, of Maugansville, passed away at Meritus Medical Center on Thursday, June 10, 2021.
Born on March 11, 1925 in Petersburg, WV, Ruth was the daughter of the late Samuel and Audrey (Yokum) Kesner. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Merlin Kesner.
Ruth was a faithful and devoted wife and mother. She attended Paramount Baptist Church.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Kenneth Harrison Kimble; her daughters Linda Buchanan and husband Darrel of Maugansville, and Brenda Myers of Maugansville. She is also survived by her sisters Norma Sites, Nola Mongold, and Ina Jane Alt, all of Petersburg, WV; her sister-in-law Velma Kesner; her grandchildren Darrel "Bucky," Amber, and Travis; her great-grandchildren Makayla, Savannah, and Deacon; and her cousin whom she helped raise, J. Darwin Yokum; as well as numerous other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at Rest Haven Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Josh Fields officiating. Committal will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Paramount Baptist Church at 13234 Marsh Pike, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
